Join us on the 3rd Wednesday of every month to distribute fresh fruit and vegetables to community members in partnership with the Lowcountry Food Bank! While the event runs under our covered drive thru from 9:00am to 12:00pm, we have two volunteer shifts for those 18 and older.
During the first shift volunteers help set up, assemble produce bags and then load them into cars.
As a community-based organization, we heavily depend on volunteers to fulfill our mission. By registering for this opportunity, we are counting on your presence. Please unregister if you are no longer able to attend and contact us directly with any unexpected absences so we can offer the opportunity to another community member.
Information for new volunteers: Please dress comfortably and wear closed toed shoes. Please dress appropriate for the weather as we will be outside the entire duration. Restrooms and water will be available, but you are welcome to bring your own reusable bottle or thermos.
Please park next door at Harris Teeter in the row facing Goodwill and ECCO. Please walk through our parking lot to the covered drive thru and enter through an open door. We will begin with an introduction of ECCO and then set up. Please arrive promptly for your shift.
Reminder: When volunteering at ECCO, we ask that you treat everyone with our core values of compassion and respect. Please do not make assumptions about anyone's situation or reasons they are coming to ECCO for help. We do not judge them for the car they drive or their appearance and treat all with the same kindness extended to our friends and family.
