Kat's Clothing Closet

Kat's Clothing Closet at East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) offers men's, women's, and children's clothing to clients free of charge, twice a month. We also distribute gently used sheets, towels, and blankets. Brand-new socks and underwear are available for clients, made possible by funds received from our program that recycles worn clothing items with our textile partner.

Neighbors come to Kat's Closet to choose items that make them feel confident and empowered. All volunteers must be 18+ years old except for Friday morning Drop-Ins (16+).

Weekly Shift: Support our Clothing Closet on a once-a-week basis while satisfying your inner-fashionista! These volunteers help with accepting, processing, and sorting donations from the community. At times, volunteers may also help clients as they shop.

Friday Drop Ins - Clothing Sorting: Want to help but can't on a weekly basis? This opportunity is perfect for you! On Friday mornings from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, volunteers help sort, process, and restock shelves with donations from the community. Volunteers of all experience levels self-select their shift depending on their availability.

Organize a Drive: Help fulfill current or outstanding needs through a Drive! We are always in need of new socks and underwear, but depending on the season, would appreciate your support with collecting specific items. This can be done through a business, congregation, neighborhood, or school with community service hours credited.
