ECCO operates both a Medical Clinic and Dental Clinic from our Health Services Wing at our Six Mile Road location.

Medical Clinics- ECCO operates two medical clinics at our Mount Pleasant location.

Partners in Healthcare Clinic: Normally held during the day, this clinic provides medical care for uninsured adults through MUSC's College of Nursing with Nurse Practitioners. It offers primary care, patient education and women’s health services. We partner with other healthcare organizations for laboratory and diagnostic testing.

MUSC C.A.R.E.S. Clinic: This student-run clinic is held in the evening and provides primary care, patient education, women’s health, immunizations, and specialty care nights (Spanish Specialty Night, Orthopedic Night, OB-GYN Night, Dermatology Night, Cardiovascular Night). Referrals for laboratory, diagnostic testing, and specialty care are also given. ECCO also offers a Prescription Assistance program to support patients with their health needs.

Dental Clinic: ECCO provides both preventative and restorative care for uninsured adults. These services include comprehensive exams, health screenings, x-rays, cleanings and fillings. ECCO also operates an evening extraction clinic for decayed and broken teeth. All clinic volunteers must be 18+ years old.

Patient Transportation Driver: For patients with transportation issues, we provide free rides through our ECCO ADA van to support the continuation of care. We are looking for volunteers willing to drive our patients to and from their medical/dental appointments at ECCO and Roper St. Francis for lab work. We will try to provide advance notice when possible, but typically are able to notify 2 - 7 days prior. *This position requires a license and clean driving record of 5-years, as well as additional training.

Volunteer Dentists: To support the health of our community, we rely on providers who reside locally and are willing to donate their time and talent to the Dental Clinic. Opportunities could include weekly, monthly, or seasonal volunteering in our weekly evening Extraction Clinic. *This position requires an active South Carolina Dental License and should expect additional steps to the application process.

Dental Clinic Receptionist: Help ensure quality dental care by volunteering as a receptionist on Mondays! Dental Receptionists warmly greet patients and assist with paperwork and appointment coordination. We are seeking a weekly volunteer for each Monday shift: 9:00am - 1:00pm and 1:00pm - 4:00pm.

Alternative Service Opportunity: The Healthcare Committee is the team, behind the scenes. Become a part of a group of dedicated clinicians and professionals who are doing their best to evaluate, support, and advocate for the Medical and Dental Clinics and the patients we serve.

College Student Opportunities: Our student volunteer opportunities are facilitated by local colleges- MUSC and Trident Technical College. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact your school's program coordinator.
